Ingredients:

  • 1 bowl thick semolina (Rava)
  • 1 cup green peas
  • Coriander
  • 2 Green chili
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon mustered seeds
  • 1/3 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon Urad dal
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • 1 cup thick curd
  • 1 glass water
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 1 sachet ENO

Method:

In a mixture jar add green peas, coriander leaves and green chilies and make fine paste.

Now heat a kadai on a medium flame. Add oil; once oil heated add mustard seeds, urad dal and asafoetida. Once dal changes the color, add curry leaves and ginger garlic paste.  Sauté well.

Then, add green pea’s mixture. Stir well. Now add rava and salt. Mix well. And switch off the gas. After 10 minutes add curd into this mixture.  And mix well. Add some water also to make perfect consistency.

Keep the lid on this mixture. Keep for rest at least for 15 minutes.

At the time of making idli. Heat the idli maker on a medium flame. Grease the idli mould by oil.

Now see the idli mixture. If the rava soaked the all water and mixture look dry then add some water to make a perfect batter. Now add ENO and on the ENO squeeze lemon juice. Immediately mix well. And fill the mould with the batter. Keep this mould in the idli cooker.

Keep the lid on the cooker. Keep the gas on a high flame. And cook the idli for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes idli are ready. Remove all the idlis from mould and serve it with Chutney.
