Ingredients:

  • ½ kg Semolina( Preferred Thin Rava)
  • 250 Gm Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cardamom and nutmeg  powder
  • 350 Gm Clarified Butter (Ghee)
  • Dry fruit: Cashew, Almonds and Raisins
  • Utensil: Heavy Bottom Kadai

Method:

For making ladoo, I used a heavy bottom kadai.

Heat a kadai on a medium gas. Pour 2 tablespoon of ghee into it. Add all the dry fruits into the ghee. Roast the all dry fruits till change the color. Once they look brown and crisp remove it from the kadai and transfer them into the plate.

Now keep the gas on slow flame. Now add 1 cup semolina into the kadai. Roast the semolina on a slow flame. Add some ghee for roasting. Stir it continuously. Be cautious the semolina can be burn from the bottom of the kadai. After 3 to 4 minutes of roasting you can see the semolina starts changing the color.

We have to roast the semolina till golden at least for 10 to 12 minutes. Once it nicely roasted remove those flavorful semolina into the mixing pot. Like this process, roast all the semolina.

After roasting the semolina, time to roast the gram flour. Add 1 cup gram flour in kadai. Keep the gas on a slow flame. Add 1 tablespoon of ghee into it. Roast it nicely. Avoid making lumps into it. Gram flour taking more time for roasting as compare to semolina.

Roast the gram flour and add this into the roasted semolina. Once all the gram flour roasted switch off the flame. Mix well all the mixture of semolina and gram flour. Allow to cool down in a room temperature. It will take at least 1 and ½ hour to cool it down.

Now, make a powder of the fried cashew and almonds. Add this dry fruit powder into the ladoo mixture.

Add powdered sugar, raisins and cardamom nutmeg powder into the ladoo mixture. Mix well all the mixture.

Check the taste of this mixture, if you required more sweeten, then add some powdered sugar into this mixture.

Now the ladoo mix is ready to make ladoos. Now here I am taking some ghee in the pan. Heat them for 3 to 4 minutes on a medium flame. Now pour some ghee into the mixture of laddoo. Mix well. And start making laddoos.

Take a small quantity of mixture. Roll it into the palm and start shaping them as a round ball. And make a perfect shape of ladoo like this. Now repeat the same with remaining mixture.

Once all the ladoo makes, keep them in a room temperature for setting perfectly.

Now our delicious Rava Besan Ladoo is ready.
