Ingredients:

  • 250 gms Pumpkin
  • ½ Cup curd
  • 1 Teaspoon sugar
  • Chopped coriander
  • 2 Tablespoon Crushed Peanut
  • Salt
  • 2 Tablespoon Grated Coconut
  • For Tempering:
  • ½ Teaspoon cumin
  • 1 chopped green chilies
  • 4 to 5 curry leaves
  • 1 Tablespoon ghee / oil

Method:

Wash the pumpkin, remove the seeds from it and peel the skin. Now cut the pumpkin in small pieces.

For bharit will first cook the pumpkin. Heat a pan on a medium flame, add pumpkin pieces. Stir it. Keep lid on it. Allow to cook on a low flame. Use water if required for boiling.

Once pumpkin cook, switch off the flame. Now with the help of smasher smash the pumpkin pieces.

Now take one mixing bowl. Add curd, smashed pumpkin into the bowl. Now add all the ingredients add salt, grated coconut, crushed peanuts, chopped coriander and sugar. Mix well.

Now will make the tempering, heat tadka pan on a slow flame. Add oil or ghee. Once oil heated add cumin seeds, green chilies and curry leaves. Now pour this tadka on a pumpkin mixture. Mix well.

Now the Bhoplyach Bharit is ready to serve.
