Ingredients:

  • Paste for Aamti or Curry
  • ½ cup coconut
  • 4 to 5 Garlic
  • Small piece of ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Coriander
  • Pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 green chili
  • Curry leaves
  • 4 to 5 garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chili
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 cup Sprouted beans ( Vaal/ Pavta)
  • Water
  • Salt

Method:

Soak vaal in a water, keep it for overnight. Next day remove water from the vaal and hang them into the dry cloth. After 6 to 7 hours sprouts coming out. Now remove the vaal from the cloth and peel them.

After peeling, wash them and used for aamti.

Now will prepare the aamti paste. Take a mixture jar, add coconut, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander and turmeric. Add some water and make a fine paste.

Now heat a heavy bottom pot on a medium flame. Pour some oil. Once oil heated, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafetida and garlic. Once garlic change the color, add red chili powder and turmeric. Mix well.

Now add sprouted vaal on it. Stir once then, add grind masala and salt on it. Mix well.

Add hot water. Allow to boil. Cook for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Add some garam masala powder. Once cook add chopped coriander.

Switch off the flame.

Serve hot with rice and pickle.
