Name of Author: Asmi Kadam

Ingredients:

  • 1 Bowl or 4 cup Homemade Thick Curd ( Don’t use sore curd)
  • ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 10 to 12 Saffron strands
  • 2 Tablespoons warm Milk
  • 1/3 cup Dry Fruit powder and some chopped dry fruits for garnishing
  • ½ teaspoon Cardamom powder

Method:

Take one big bowl. Place one dry cotton cloth in the bowl. Now pour the curd into the cloth.

Tightly knot the cloth from all the sides. Allow to water come out from curd. Hung the curd on a dry place. Keep for at least 8 to 10 hours.

Allow to drain all the water from the curd.

After 10 hours, open the cloth. You can see the all water goes from the curd and nice thick chakka you get.

This chakka is very smooth in texture. Now transfer this chakka in another mixing bowl. Take a big one bowl, because it makes easy to stir.

Now take two tablespoon of warm milk in a cup add some saffron strands. Mix well. And keep aside. We will use this milk at the time of making shrikhand.

Now in chakka bowl, add powdered sugar, dry fruit powder and cardamom powder. With the help of whisk or you can also use the spatula for mixing the shrikhand.

But I personally suggest you to use whisk. It helps to make a shrikhand smoother.

Mix well. Check the taste of the shrikhand. Add the sugar if required or as you like the sweeten to eat. Now add saffron milk and chopped dry fruits into the shrikhand and again whisk it.

Shrikhand is ready. But before serving, keep this shrikhand in a fridge for make more flavorful.

Serve this Dry Fruit Shrikhand with hot puri.

Enjoy.

Thank you.

Have a wonderful day
