VEGETABLE TIKKI RECIPE.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Big Size Boiled Potatoes
  • 1/3 cup Green Piece
  • 1/3 Cup Pieces of Cauliflower
  • 1/3 Cup Soaked Poha (Flattened Rice)
  • 2 Chopped Green Chilies
  • 1 Big size Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Coriander Powder
  • ½ Tablespoon Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Aamchur Powder
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Salt to taste.

Method:

Take a 1/3 cup of poha in a cup. Wash it cleanly. And soaked it in the water.

Heat a pan on a medium flame. Pour 1 tablespoon of oil. Once oil heated add chopped chilies and onions. Cook the onions till change the color. Saute well.

Then, add green peas and cauliflower pieces into the onion. Mix well. Keep the lid on the pan and allow to cook for 5 to 7 minutes on a slow flame.

Cook it till them mushy. Then add, ginger garlic paste. Mix well.

Once raw smell of ginger garlic goes, add red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala powder, cumin coriander powder and aamchur powder. Mix well. Now time to add salt. Add salt as per the taste.

Then add soaked poha and chopped coriander into the tikki masala. Mix well.

Our tikki masala is ready. Allow to cool for another 5 to 7 minutes.

Now smashed the boil potatoes then, add into the tikki masala also add some salt on the boiled potatoes. We already add the salt into the tikki masala so remember, add the salt on the potatoes as per the taste.

Mix well. Now our tikki mixture is ready.

Now make a round shape of balls and press it on the palm. And make a round shape of tikkies. Keep ths tikkies in the fridge for setting up of another 10 to 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes remove the tikkies from the fridge.

Heat a pan on a medium flame. Pour some oil in the pan. Here I am shallow frying the tikkies, so I am not using too much oil for frying.

If you like the tikkies dip frying then you can goes with more oil.

Once oil heated, place the tikkies in the pan. Keep the gas on a slow flame. Fry the tikkies from the both the sides till golden brown and crunchy. Once it fry properly, remove it from the pan. And fry another slot of tikkies.

Once all the tikkies fry. Serve with chutney and tomato ketchup.
