  • 1 Bowl Jackfruit Seeds
  • 2 Big size chopped onion
  • 1 Big size chopped tomato
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 Dry kokum ( Garcinia Indica)
  • Water


Firstly, trash the jackfruit seeds with stones. Remove the covers of the seeds. After that, chopped the seeds finely. Soaked this chopped seeds in the water for 10 minutes. Wash it off.

Now heat a kadai in a medium flame. Add oil. Once oil heated, add mustard seeds and chopped onion. Cook the onion till change the color. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Cook the tomatoes till mushy. Add red chili powder, turmeric. Cook well.

Now add chopped jackfruit seeds and salt in it. Mix well. Now add hot water. Keep lid on the kadai. And allow cooking for at least 20 to 25 minutes on a low flame.

It will take some time to cook. So you have to wait till seeds cook properly. Once subji cook add dry kokum and chopped coriander. Mix well and switch off the gas.

Serve hot with roti.
