Batata Tomato Bhaji Recipe.

  • 5 to 6 Boiled Potatoes
  • 2 chopped Tomatoes
  • 6 to 7 Chopped Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Chopped Big Onion
  • 2 to 3 Chopped Green Chilies
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 4 to 5 curry Leaves
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Pinch of Asfodieda
  • Salt
  • Oil


Cut the boiled potatoes in small square shape. Keep aside.

Heat a kadai on a medium flame, pour 2 tablespoon of oil. Once oil heated, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and as asafodieda. Once seeds starts splutter, add curry leaves and chopped garlic. Then add chopped onions and chilies.

Cook the onions till change the color. Then add chopped tomatoes. Cook the tomatoes on a slow flame.

Once tomatoes cook, add turmeric. Mix well. Then add pieces of potatoes and salt. Mix it again.

Cook for another 2 minutes. Then add chopped coriander and grated coconut.

Mix it. Keep on a gas for another one minute. Then switch off the flame.

Serve with chapatti, phulka or bhakari.
