Besan Poli Recipe.

·     1 Bowl chickpea flour ( Besan)

·      1 Tablespoon rice flour

·      1 Big chopped onion

·      1 Small chopped tomato

·      1 Chopped green chili

·      1 Teaspoon Ginger garlic paste

·      Coriander

·      1 Tablespoon Red chili powder

·      1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder

·      Pinch of carom seeds

·      Pinch of  Asafoetida ( Hing )

·      Salt

·      Oil


In a big bowl add chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, pinch of carom seeds, pinch of asafoetida and salt to taste. Mix it properly, than add chickpea, rice flour and water. Do not add much water in to the batter. Batter should not be very thick or runny.

After adding all the ingredients mix the batter properly and rest it for 15 to 20 minutes. After 20 minutes you can proceed further. Heat the frying pan on medium flame, pour some oil into the pan. Once the oil is heated, pour batter in the centre of the pan with help of big spoon. Spread it evenly across the pan. Cook on slow flame until Poli gets golden. Now turn the Poli on another side, and drizzled some oil on it. Fry both the sides till turn in to brown colour. Insuring that, flour should be cook well. Cook the Poli, until it become crispy. Served hot. 


You can enjoy with bread, chapati, and roti with sauce.
