Ingredients:      

·       1 cup Chicken bones

·       4 Chopped Garlic

·       1 teaspoon Chopped Ginger

·       1 Bay leaves

·       ½ teaspoon Peppercorn crushed

·       ½ sliced Onion

·      For Tempering:

ü 4 to 5 finely chopped Garlic

ü 1 teaspoon Peppercorn powder

ü 2 tablespoon Wheat flour or all-purpose flour

ü 3 to 4 tablespoons clarified butter Ghee / butter

ü 1 tablespoons Garam Masala powder

ü Chopped Coriander

ü Salt

 

Method:

Clean chicken bones and wash under running water. Heat a pot, with 4 glasses of water, add chicken bones, crushed peppercorn, some chopped onions, crushed ginger and garlic, 1 bay leaves and some salt. Allow to cook at least for 25 minutes.

 

After 25 minutes, turn off the flame. Separate the chicken stock with the help of strainer.

Our chicken stock is ready.

 

Now heat a pot on a medium flame. Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of clarified butter. Add some chopped garlic. Once garlic changes the colour (do not burn the garlic) add 2 tablespoons of wheat flour or all purpose flour. Mix it well. Now, add chicken stock. Mix it properly. Add 1 teaspoon peppercorn powder and some salt. Remember earlier we already added salt at the time of boiling in the chicken. So you may taste first then add salt.

 

Do not use water here. You have to make the shorba with chicken stock only.

Allow stock to boil for another 5 minutes, add 1 teaspoon homemade garam Masala. Stir it.

 

Chicken shorba is ready. You can serve in bowl, add some boil chicken slices and shorba.

Garnish with chopped coriander.

Serve hot.
