  • 4 to 5 boiled potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/3 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger and garlic
  • 2 chopped green chili
  • 5 to 6 curry leaves
  • Oil
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon aamchur powder
  • 1 teaspoon kasoori methi
  • Salt
  • Chopped coriander


Cut the boiled potatoes into the square shape. 

For making subji, heat pan on a low flame.  Add oil. Once oil heated add cumin and asafoetida. 

After cumin splutter, add curry leaves, chopped chilli and chopped garlic ginger. Sauté well. 

Now add red chilli powder and turmeric.  Avoid to burning this masala. Now immediately add boiled potatoes pieces and salt. Mix well.

Now add cumin coriander powder and aamchur powder. Sauté well for 1 minute.

Now add kasoori methi and chopped coriander. Mix well and switch off the gas.

Serve this subji with roti.
