·      For Masala  (Mixture of Vegetables):

Ø 4 Boiled smashed potatoes

Ø 1 big chopped tomato

Ø 1 chopped onion

Ø 1 tablespoons soaked split chickpea (Chana dal)

Ø Boiled green peas ( optional)

Ø 3 to 4 Chopped green chilies

Ø 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste

Ø 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds

Ø 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds

Ø Curry leaves

Ø 1 teaspoon Turmeric

Ø Asafoetida

Ø Salt

Ø Chopped coriander.

Method:

For making of masala, heat a pan on medium flame. Pour some oil into the pan. Add mustered seeds and cumin seeds. After spluttering of mustered and cumin, add curry leaves, asafoetida and ginger garlic paste. Sauté well. Now add chopped onions, chillies and fry till golden. Now add soaked Dal. Allow to cook for 5 minutes. Than add tomatoes and boiled green peas. Mix well. Once tomatoes cook, add turmeric powder and salt into the mixture than add boiled potatoes and chopped coriander. Mix well. You may check the salt. If salt is not enough, you can add the salt as per the taste. Switch off the flame and allow to cool it down. Now the masala is ready for making Dosa.

Note: Into the masala you may also try the shredded cabbage with other vegetables.

For the Dosa Batter, Please follow the my Dosa Recipe Link below. :

Heat a pan (any non-stick pan) on a medium flame. When the pan is hot enough, add few drops of oil. Rub well with kitchen tissues until the oil is observed. Now sprinkle few drops of water on the pan.

Stir the batter in the bowl and pour a ladle full of batter in the centre of the pan. Spread it evenly in a circular shape. Spread it immediately. Drizzled oil/butter/ghee as per your taste. Now take spoonful of masala and spread it on the Dosa. You can also drizzled some butter on the top of the masala for enhancing the taste. Allow to cook on medium high flame until dosa gets golden. Now fold the Dosa either in triangle shape or fold it in round shape.

Make all the dosas one by one and served hot with coconut chutney and off course with vegetable sambar. Enjoy this delicious Masala Dosa with your family.

Thank You.

Have a wonderful day.
