Ingredients:

  • For Dough:
    • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
    • 1/3 Cup Wheat Flour
    • 1 Tablespoon Oil
    • Salt
    • Water
  • Franky Masala:
    • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
    • 2 Dry Red chilies
    • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
    • 1 Teaspoon Coriander
    • Salt
    • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric
    • 1/3 Teaspoon Hing
    • 1 Teaspoon  Red Chili Powder
    • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
    • 1 Teaspoon Aamchur Powder
  • Vegetable Mixture:
    • 4 Boiled Potatoes
    • 7 to 8 chopped garlic
    • ½ inch chopped ginger
    • 1 teaspoon cumin
    • 2 chopped green chilies
    • ½ cup green peas
    • Salt
    • 2 tomatoes puree
    • Chopped coriander
    • 2 tablespoon franky masala
    • Oil
  • For dressing:
    • ½ cup Shredded cabbage
    • ½ cup Shredded onion
    • Salt
    • Lemon juice
  • Butter
  • Coconut chutney
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Cheese

 Method:

For making franky masala, heat a pan and dry roast all the spices which mentioned in an ingredient. Then grind them fine powder.

For making franky dough. In a mixture bowl, add maida, wheat flour, salt, oil. Mix well. Now add water and knead tight dough. Keep aside.

Now will make vegetable mixture. Heat a pan, add cumin. Once cumin splutter add chopped garlic, ginger and chilies. Sauté well. Now add green peas. Mix well. Keep the lid on a pan for cooking green peas. Add tomato puree and salt. Mix well. Cook this mixture till removes the oil. Now add franky masala and chopped coriander into it. After this add boiled potatoes, stir the mixture well. Switch off the gas and let it cool.

Once the mixture cools, make the cylindrical shape rolls. For shallow frying this roll, heat a pan on a very low flame. Add oil and press this roll on palm and place it in a pan. Fry it from both sides till golden and crisp.

Now will make the franky roti. Make a small balls from the dough. Roll the balls on roller board for making chapatis. Now take one chapatti add some oil and sprinkle some flour on it. Spread it evenly. And place another roti on it. With the help of roller pin roll this roties. Like this make a set of 2 roties.

Now heat a tava for roti. Grease the tava with oil. Now cook the roti’s from both the sides. You can easily separate the roti’s.

Now like this prepared all the sets of roti.

At the time of making franky. Take one roti, heat a tava spread some butter then cook the roti from both the sides. Now take this roti on plate, apply coconut chutney, place aloo roll and cabbage onion mixture, add some tomato ketchup on top and finally spread some cheese on it. Roll the franky.

Note: At the time of making franky , separate the roties from each other and you use only one roti at a one time.

Serve hot.
