Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Coriander Seeds ( Dhane)
  • 1 Tablespoon Cumin Seeds ( Jira)
  • 1 Teaspoon Methi Seeds ( Fenugreek Seeds)
  • 6 to 7 Dry Red Chilies
  • 1 Tablespoon black pepper ( Kalimiri)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cloves ( Lavang)
  • 2 Bay leaf ( Tej patta)
  • 1 Inch Cinnamon ( Dalchini)
  • 1 Teaspoon poppy seeds ( Khas Khas)
  • 1 whole Star Anise ( Chakri Phool)
  • ½ Teaspoon Fennel Seeds ( Badisof)
  • 1 Black Cardamom ( Masala Velchi)
  • 1 Green Cardamom ( Hirvi Velchi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds ( Safed Til)
  • ½ Mace ( Javitri)

Method:

Heat a pan on a slow flame. Add all the dry spices in it. Sauté well for a 1 minute and switch off the gas. Remove those spices from the pan. Allow to cool.

Now add all the spices in a mixture jar, grind it in fine powder.

Missal Masala is ready to make tasty missal.

You can also preserve this masala in airtight container.
