Paneer Butter Masala.

  • 2 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomatoes
  • 7 to 8 garlic
  • ½ inch ginger
  • 3 to 4 dry red chilies
  • 8 to 10 cashew
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon butter
  • 200 gm paneer
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon kasoori methi
  • 2 tablespoon cream
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • Water


Heat a pan on a medium flame. Add Chopped onion, garlic, ginger and dry red chilies.  Add oil and stir it. Cook it for few minutes. Then, add Chopped tomatoes and cashew.  Mix well. Keep the lid and cook till tomatoes mushy.

Now switch off the gas. Then, grind this mixture from the grinder. 

So, the gravy paste is ready to maker butter paneer.

Now heat a kadai. Add some butter. Once butter is melted add paneer cubes and red chili powder. Sauté for minute and remove it from the pan. In a same kadai, add butter. Now add cumin. Once cumin splutters, add gravy paste into the kadai. Cook till the oil come out. Then, add red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt.  Mix well.

Add some crushed kasoori methi.  And stir it.

Add cream on this masala. Mix it properly.  Add ½ glass of water.

Mix well. Allow to cook for 5 minutes.  Then add paneer cubes. Mix well. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Switch off the gas.

Serve this subji with roti.
