Paneer Lasooni Recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gms paneer
  • Oil
  • Cumin seeds
  • 3 to 4 slit green chilies
  • ½ inch chopped ginger
  • 10 to 12 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon kasuri methi
  • ½ cup curd
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Chopped coriander as required.
  • Masala paste:
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 6 to 7 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch chopped ginger
  • 6 to 7 cashew
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil

 Method:

Now heat a kadai on a medium flame. Pour some oil. Add long sliced Onions, some chopped ginger and garlic into the oil. Fry the onions till turns golden brown. Then add some cashew and tomatoes.

Cook the tomatoes with onion for at least 5 to 7 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon salt into the onions tomatoes mixture. Switch off the flame. Allow to cool down.

Now take a mixture jar, add onion, tomatoes mixture, and grind it in a smooth paste. Keep aside.

Now in a same kadai fry the paneer for 2 to 3 minutes. Switch off the flame. Transfer those paneer into the plate.

Now in a same kadai, pour 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Once oil heated, add cumin, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black paper, green cardamom, cloves. Now add some chopped chilies, ginger and garlic. Once garlic change the colour add chopped onion. Once oil gets golden brown, add grind paste into it. Saute well. Allow to cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Till then, take a mixing bowl. Add whisk curd, Red chili powder, cumin coriander powder, Garam Masala powder and turmaric. Mix all the masala into the curd. Add this curd mixture into the kadai. Saute well with onion paste.

Fry all this masala at least for 5 minutes. Then add salt and kasuri methi. Mix again.

Note: Remember we had already add the salt in the onion paste. So adjust the salt as per the requirement.

Then, add ½ glass of water. Mix well. Kip a lid on a kadai and allow to cook for 5 minutes. Remove the lid add paneer and chopped coriander. Mix well. Cook for another two minute. Switch off the flame.

Serve hot with phulka or wheat roti or naan. Enjoy.
