Pithla Recipe | Besan Pithla Bhakri.

Ingredients:

·      ½ cup Gram flour (Besan)

·       1 chopped Onion

·       2 chopped Chilies

·       1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic paste

·       1 teaspoon red Chili powder

·       ½ teaspoon Turmeric

·       Oil

·       Curry Leaves

·       1 teaspoon Mustard seeds

·       Pinch of Asafoetida

·       Chopped Coriander

·       Salt

·       water

Method:      

Heat a pan on a medium flame. Put ½ cup of gram flour into the pan. Dry roast the flour for a 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer this gram flour into the mixing bowl and add 1 ½ glass of water into that. Mix well. Avoid lumps.

Now in a same pan, add some oil. Once oil is heated, add mustard seeds, asafoetida , curry leaves and chopped onion and chilies. Fry the onions till change the colour then, add ginger garlic paste. Saute well. Then, add red chili powder and turmeric. Mix well.

Now pour the gram flour paste into this tadka. Mix continuously. You may add water, as per consistency want to need. Add salt to taste. Keep a lid on a pan on a slow flame. Allow to cook for at least 5 to 7 minutes. Remove the lid. Mix the pitthal, add some chopped coriander. Allow to cook for another 2 minutes.

Now the pitthal is ready to serve. Turn off the flame.

Serve hot in plate with rice flour bhakri and some onions & chilies.
