·Semolina ¾ th cup ( Rava)

·½ Cup Clarified Butter ( Ghee)

·1 cup Sugar

·1 teaspoon Cardamom and nutmeg powder  

·1 glass boiled Water

·1 bowl boiled Milk

·Nuts: Almonds, cashew, pistachio and raisins.


Before starting the recipe boil 1 glass of water and milk separately. Keep aside. Now you start making Sheera.

Roast semolina in vessel on slow flame till turn golden. Remove it in dish from vessel. Now add 4 to 5 tablespoons of clarified butter in the same vessel. Keep on slow flame. Fry Almonds, cashews, pistachios and raisins till turn golden. Now in the same vessel put roasted semolina and fry with clarified butter. Once semolina turned brown add boiled water slowly slowly  (Don’t put entire water at one go). 

Mix it well. Cover with lid. Check after one minute, if semolina looks dry put more boiled water. Mixed it well again and cover with lid. Till than on the other side crush the nuts in mortar and pastel. Keep some dry fruits for garnishing. 

Now time to check semolina. Remove the lid and you can see Semolina double in size that means it cooked properly. Now you can add hot milk, crushed dry nuts and mix it well. Again put the lid for 1 minute. Then add sugar, cardamom & nutmeg powder into the Sheera. Mix it well. Cover with lid and keep for 5 minutes on slow flame. Mix it properly and Sheera is ready to eat.

Garnish with dry fruits and served hot.
