Ingredients:

  • Half bowl Soya Chunks
  • For Masala paste:
    • 1 big size chopped onion
    • 2 chopped tomatoes
    • 10 to 12 cashew
    • 1 green chili
    • ½ inch ginger
    • 5 to 6 garlic
    • Oil for frying
  • For Marination:
    • 3 to 4 tablespoon curd
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • Turmeric
    • 1 teaspoon Cumin coriander powder
    • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
    • Salt
    • Chopped coriander
    • 2 tablespoon oil
    • ½ teaspoon cumin
    • 1 inch cinnamon stick
    • 1 bay leave
    • ½ teaspoon Red chili powder
  • Turmeric
  • ½ Teaspoon cumin coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Kasoori methi
  • Salt

Method:

Soaked the soya chunks in warm water for 15 minutes.

Once chunks soaked squeeze all the water from chunks.

Now prepare for Marination. Add thick curd in a bowl. Add spices in it. Add Chopped coriander and salt. Mix it well.

Now into the Marination add soya chunks. And let it marinate for 15 minutes.

From other side, heat a kadai. Add Chopped onion, garlic, ginger, chili, cashew and also add some oil and salt in it. Once onion half cook add Chopped tomatoes into it. Mix well. Cook it for till tomatoes mushy. Once masala cook switch off the gas. And let it cool. Then, add all the mixture in a mixi jar. And make fine paste.

Now we will start making soya chunks masala.

Heat a kadai in a medium flame. Add oil. Once oil heated add cumin seeds, bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Now add onion tomatoes paste in it.

Stir it. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Now add red chili powder, turmeric, cumin coriander powder and garam masala. Mix it well. Add crushed kasoori methi. And stir it for 2 minutes.

Once masala properly fried, add marinated soya chunks it it. Mix well. Keep a lid on it. Cook for 2 minutes.  Now add half a glass of water into the subji. Mix well. Kit the lid and now cook for another 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes you see soya chunks are cooks well and now time to add fresh chopped coriander. Mix well.

Switch off the gas.

Serve this Soya Chunks Masala with Naan or roti.
