Vegetable Pulao Recipe in cooker.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 Chopped Onions
  • 2 Chopped Tomatoes
  • ½ cup Green peas
  • ½ cup Cauliflower
  • ½ cup Green Bean and Carrots
  • ½ cup Curd
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin (Jeera)
  • 1 Bay Leave ( Tejpatta)
  • ½ inch Cinnamon stick ( Dalchini)
  • 3 to 4 Cloves ( Lavang)
  • 5 to 6 Black Peppercorns ( kalimirch)
  • 1 Black Cardamom ( Badi Elaichi)
  • ½ Tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 Tablespoon Garam masala powder
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 4 glass Water.

Method:

Wash rice at least for 3 to 4 time and soaked for 15 minutes.

Now heat a pressure cooker on a medium flame. Add oil. Once oil heated add cumin, bay leave Cinnamon stick, cloves, Black Peppercorns, Black Cardamom.

Now add chopped onions. Sauté well. Cook the onions for few minutes. Then, add ginger garlic paste. Mix well. Cook till raw smell goes. Now add chopped tomatoes. Cook the tomatoes till mushy.

Once tomatoes cook. Slow the gas flame. Now add red chili powder, turmeric and garam masala powder. Mix well.

Now add curd and chopped coriander. Again mix it.

Add all the vegetables into the masala. Mix all the veggies into the masala. Now add soaked rice into it. Add salt into the rice. Mix well.

Now add water into the rice. Mix well. Keep the lid on the pressure cooker. And allow to cook for till 3 whistles.

After 3 whistles switch off the flame. Allow to cool down for 10 minutes. Then, open the lid of pressure cooker.

Serve the pulao hot with curd raita.
