Gajar Ka Halwa.

  • 1 kg Carrots
  • ½ cup clarified Butter
  • 1 ½ cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup chopped Cashew
  • 1/3 cup chopped Almond
  • 1/3 cup Raisins
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • ½ cup Khova/ Mava


Wash all the carrots cleanly.  Now remove the skin from carrots with peeler. Now grate the carrots on a grater.

Now heat a kadai on a medium flame. Once kadai heated add clarified butter. Now add grated carrots on it.

Mix well. Keep the gas on a medium flame. Keep mixing till carrots release their water.

After 15 minutes when all the water observed from the carrots, then add sugar. Mix again.

Cook for another 10 minutes. Then add all dry fruits into the halwa.Cook for another 5 minutes.

Now add khova into the halwa. Stir it nicely. Keep the gas on a slow flame. Allow to cook for another 10 minutes.

Mix well. Now the halwa is ready to eat.
