Coconut Chutney for Idly, Dosa and Aape.

Ingredients:

·       1 cup grated Coconut

·       Small piece of Ginger

·        2 Garlic cloves

·       2 green Chilies

·       ½ cup Coriander

·       2 tablespoon roasted Gram ( Roasted Chana dal)

·       Salt to taste

·       For tempering:

ü 1 red Chili

ü 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds

ü 4 to 5 curry Leaves

ü 1 tablespoon Oil

ü Pinch of Asafoetida

Method:

Wash ginger, chilies and coriander. Now take mixture jar, add shredded coconut, ginger, chilies, coriander, garlic, roasted gram and salt. Now add little water into this ingredients. And grind it in a fine paste. You can also add the water to maintain consistency which you want.

Transfer the chutney into the bowl.

Now heat the tadka pan on a medium flame. Add one tablespoon of oil. Once oil heated, add mustard seeds. Once mustard seeds fluttering, add asafoetida, curry leaves and split red chili. Stir it. Switch off the flame. Pour this tadka on the chutney. Mix well.

Chutney is ready to serve with Idly, Dosa or Aape.
