·       ½ cup Horse Gram Flour ( Kulith Pith)

·       1 chopped Onion

·       1 Chopped Chili

·       Chopped Coriander

·       1 teaspoon red Chili powder

·       ½ teaspoon Turmeric

·       Curry Leaves

·       ½ teaspoon Mustard Seeds

·       ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds

·       Pinch of Asafoetida

·       Salt

·       Oil

·       Water


Take a mixing bowl and add half cup horse gram flour. Into the flour add almost 1 and half glass of water. Mix it with a spoon. Avoid making lumps. Keep aside.

Now heat a pot on a medium flame. Pour 2 tablespoon oil. Once oil heated add mustered and cumin seeds. Then, add asafoetida, curry leaves, chopped onion and chilies into the tadka. Fry the onion till change the colour. Now put the gas on a slow flame. Add red chili powder and turmeric into the onions. Mix it once.

Then pour the mixture of horse gram flour into the fried onions. Stir consistently. Add salt to taste. Allow to make a boil. Add some water if the curry looks very thick. Keep medium consistency of curry’s thickness.

Once started boiling. Stir it. Allow to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. Then, add chopped coriander. Check the taste of salt. If required, add salt to taste.

Serve hot curry with steam rice, pickle and papad.

This curry is very nutritious and good for bones.
