  • ½ Kg Chicken Pieces
  • 4 Chopped garlic cloves
  • 5 to 6 curry leaves
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Garam masala powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 4 Tablespoon Oil
  • Salt
  • 2 Glass Boiled Water
  • For Marination:
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 Tablespoon oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • For Masala Paste:
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 10 to 12 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Inch of Ginger
  • Coriander and Mint leaves
  • 8 to 9 Green chilies
  • 1 Cup grated Coconut


Clean the chicken pieces in a running water. Remove all the water from the chicken. Now apply some ginger garlic paste, salt and turmeric to the chicken and keep it aside for ½ hour.

Now prepare for green masala paste. In a mixture jar add grated coconut, onion, green chilies, garlic, ginger and coriander mint leaves. Make a fine paste. Use water if required.

Now heat a kadai on a medium flame. Pour oil in a kadai. Once oil heated, add curry leaves, chopped garlic and chopped onion. Sauté the onion till change the color. Now add the green masala paste into it. Fry this masala for at least 5 minutes. Now add turmeric, garam masala powder and salt into it.

Mix well. Add marinated chicken into the masala. Stir it nicely. And add boiled water. Mix well. Allow to boil.

Keep a lid on the kadai. And allow to cook for at least 15 minutes. After a 15 minutes, check chicken is cook or not.  Also check the taste. Add the salt if required.

Once chicken cook properly. Garnish the chicken with chopped coriander.

Serve hot with roti or bhakari.
