Phodnicha Bhaat Maharashtrian Style.

·       2 bowls steam Rice (Bhaat)

·       1 big chopped Onions

·       5 to 6 chopped Garlic

·       Chopped Coriander

·       1 teaspoon Mustered seeds

·       1 teaspoon Cumin seeds

·       5 to 6 Curry leaves

·       Oil

·       2 teaspoon red Chili powder

·       ½ teaspoon Turmeric

·       Salt

·       1 tablespoons kanda khobra masala


In a mixing bowl add Steam rice. Into the Steam rice, add Red chili powder, turmeric, kanda khobra varan and salt. Mix it.

Now heat a kadai on a medium flame, add some oil. Once oil heated add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once seeds starts spluttering, add curry leaves and chopped garlic. Once garlic change the colour, add chopped onions. Cook the onions till change the colour.

Then, add rice on the onions. Sprinkle some water on the rice. Mix well. Keep lid on the kadai. Allow to steam the masala bhaath for 5 minutes. Remove the lid. Add some chopped coriander. Mix well.

Masala bhaath is ready to serve.
