Podi Chutney.

  • ½ cup Chana dal
  • ½ cup urad dal
  • 1 tablespoon methi seeds
  • 2 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon mustered seeds
  • 1 tablespoon pepper corn
  • 2 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon asafoetida
  • 6 to 7 dry red chilies


Dry roast the chana dal, urad dal and methi seeds. Also dry roast the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seed, pepper corn, sesame seeds, salt and asafoetida.

Dry roast the red chilies separately.  Allow these ingredients to come on room temperature.  Transfer it in mixture jar and make a fine powder.

So our podi Chutney is ready.
