  • 8 to 10 idlies
  • 1 Big size chopped onion
  • 1 Big size chopped tomatoes
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 5 to 6 curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon Pav bhaji masala
  • Chopped coriander
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice


Cut the idliies in triangle shapes.  Heat pan on a medium flame.  Add 2 tablespoon of butter. Once butter heated, add Chopped onions.  Sauté well till change the colour.  Now add Chopped tomatoes.  Cook the tomatoes till mushy.  Add ginger garlic paste. Sauté well.

Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric and pav bhaji masala. Mix well. Add Chopped coriander and pieces of idlies.

Toss well. Add one tablespoon butter. Mix well then, add lemon juice. Switch off the gas and mix well.

Serve hot with Chutney.
