  • 2 cup idli batter
  • 1/3 cup green Peas
  • 1/3 cup chopped Carrots
  • 1/3 cup yellow Corn
  • 2 chopped green Chillies
  • 5 to 6 Curry leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Mustered seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/3 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Salt
  • Oil


Heat a kadai pour 1 tablespoons of oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves.

Then add green piece, chopped carrots and yellow corn. Add some salt. Kip a lid on a kadai. Cook the vegetable on a slow flame. Once vegetables gets cooked, add turmeric and chopped coriander. Mix well. Switch off the flame.

Allow to cool down this mixture. Then add idli batter into this mixture. Mix again.

Now heat idly steamer, grease the idli mould with oil and pour the batter in each idly mould. Place the mould in a steamer.

Keep a lid on a steamer. Allow to cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Switch off the flame of steamer. Then remove the Idlies mould from the steamer.

Remove all the Idlies from the mould.

Vegetable Idly ready to serve.

Serve with coconut chutney.
